Disney’s THE LION KING, the world’s #1 musical, is making a triumphant return to Brisbane, bringing with it the breathtaking spectacle, artistry and unforgettable music that has captivated audiences around the globe.
More than a decade after the six-time Tony Award-winning production last played at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), a new generation of theatre lovers will have the opportunity to experience this extraordinary theatrical event when performances begin from Sunday 15 November 2026.
The return marks a major moment for Brisbane audiences. When THE LION KING previously played at QPAC in 2014, it shattered records by selling more tickets in a single day than any show before it and went on to completely sell out its 19-week season.
Now, Queensland audiences are invited back to Pride Rock for the second Brisbane season of the celebrated musical. The production remains one of QPAC’s most successful shows and continues to draw audiences around the world, with more than 124 million people having experienced its magic internationally.
Following a critically acclaimed Sydney season playing to sold-out audiences, THE LION KING arrives in Brisbane as one of the most beloved and acclaimed productions in theatrical history.
Tickets for the Brisbane season go on sale from 9.00am on Thursday 23 July 2026.
